About the Role

As a specialized boutique recruitment consultancy, we connect top finance talent with leading companies in Berlin. We are seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Senior Controller for our client, an e-commerce company.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for monthly reporting and analysis of business development to provide sound decision-making basis for management.
• Management of the budget, forecast, and planning process in close cooperation with relevant departments.
• Analysis of revenue, cost, and earnings development, and derivation of concrete recommendations for action to increase performance.
• Business partner for departments on business management issues and strategic decisions.
• Continuous development of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures for data-based company management.
• Close cooperation with accounting for monthly and annual financial statements and ensuring a consistent data basis.
• Participation in cross-departmental projects for the optimization and digitalization of finance and controlling processes.
• Creation of ad-hoc analyses, profitability calculations, and business cases for investment and management decisions.

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in controlling, ideally with exposure to financial controlling and business partnering.
• Confident handling of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of business key figures.
• Good knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Analytical mindset, hands-on mentality, and enjoyment in continuously developing processes and reports.
• Very good German and English skills, as well as a communicative and proactive way of working.
