About the Role

The Senior Associate Account Executive serves as a trusted advisor to complex middle market commercial clients, delivering exceptional client service, developing customized insurance solutions, and supporting long-term client success. This role provides advanced account management and administrative support, working with independence on complex accounts and potentially managing a smaller book of business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive day-to-day service for an assigned Commercial Property & Casualty book of business.
  • Process endorsements and policy change requests accurately and promptly.
  • Issue master certificates of insurance and coordinate the creation and distribution of certificates of insurance and automobile identification cards.
  • Request necessary information from producers and clients to support timely policy servicing, accurate recordkeeping, and successful renewals.
  • Independently service and manage a smaller book of business while partnering with Account Executives and Senior Account Executives on larger or more complex accounts.
  • Communicate with clients, producers, underwriters, carriers, and internal partners regarding policy changes, coverage documentation, renewals, and other service needs.
  • Coordinate policy checking and the completion of related service activities with designated remote support partners.
  • Maintain and update suspenses and action items, ensuring all requests and deadlines are handled in a timely manner.
  • Bill endorsements, policy changes, and renewals accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client and policy documentation within the agency management system in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure policy and client records are updated promptly to support accurate invoicing by the Accounting department.
  • Coordinate loss run requests and follow up as needed.
  • Prepare binders, policy changes, contract data, and other documentation for clients.
  • Help oversee work assigned to remote support staff and escalate service concerns to the Senior Account Executive or senior management when appropriate.
  • Coordinate new business and renewal activities in partnership with Account Executives, Senior Account Executives, producers, Marketing, and other internal partners.
  • Prepare new business and renewal submissions using complete and accurate client and exposure information.
  • Review quotations and assist with coverage and pricing comparisons under the guidance of a Senior Account Executive when needed.
  • Prepare client-facing proposals and renewal materials.
  • Work with the Marketing department on new and renewal business placement activities.
  • Oversee assigned renewals and provide internal and external support throughout the renewal process.
  • Serve as a resource to less experienced team members and assist with training or mentorship when needed.
  • Identify service issues, missing information, or upcoming deadlines and take initiative to move work forward.

Requirements

  • At least five years of Commercial Property & Casualty insurance or related account management experience.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license or willingness and ability to obtain the required license within six months of employment.
  • Experience processing endorsements, policy changes, certificates of insurance, and other commercial insurance service requests.
  • Experience supporting or managing Commercial Property & Casualty renewals.
  • Experience using an agency management system to maintain accurate client and policy records.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong client-service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Some college coursework or an associate degree.
  • Experience supporting larger or more complex Commercial Property & Casualty accounts.
  • Experience independently managing a smaller commercial book of business.
  • Experience preparing submissions, reviewing quotations, and assisting with client proposals.
  • Experience coordinating work with remote service or administrative support teams.
  • Experience training or mentoring less experienced team members.
