About the Role
As the Senior IAM Systems Engineer, you will participate in the design, lead implementation, and support of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions at RBC, with a strong focus on CyberArk technologies. This role requires deep technical expertise in IAM, hands-on experience with CyberArk’s core components, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable identity solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of PAM solutions, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of CyberArk Core components (PVWA, CPM, PSM, PSMP, CP/CCP)
- Provide expert guidance on architecture, performance optimization, and security hardening for CyberArk deployments
- Develop automated processes for infrastructure deployment and security patching for CyberArk software and servers including Windows and Linux
- Partner with IT, Security, DevOps, and Compliance teams to align IAM initiatives with business goals
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, leveraging root-cause analysis and innovative solutions
- Manage deliverables using Agile/Scrum methodologies, track progress in tools like Jira, and maintain clear documentation (runbooks)
- Communicate technical strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment on timelines and outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience, with 3+ years of hands-on CyberArk platform implementation and support across PVWA, CPM, PSM, PSMP, and CP/CCP modules
- Advanced CyberArk troubleshooting expertise, including performance optimization and security hardening
- Comprehensive understanding of IAM principles: identity governance, privileged access security, and access management frameworks
- Demonstrated project leadership experience: directing cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and successfully delivering IAM solutions
- Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies and hands-on experience with Jira and similar collaboration tools
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities: proven track record of researching, designing, and implementing innovative solutions
- Strong technical documentation skills: creating and maintaining detailed runbooks and troubleshooting guides
- Working knowledge of complementary security tools and platforms: LDAP, Microsoft Entra ID, ServiceNow, and Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
