About the Role
The STAR program is a 2-year, paid, part-time internship offering flexibility to gain valuable work experience without sacrificing studies. It provides structured development, coaching, and mentoring, with opportunities to interact with leaders and earn academic credit. The program aims to give students a competitive advantage upon graduation.
Responsibilities
- Experience different aspects of the business through 6-month rotations.
- Receive on-the-job structured development, coaching, and mentoring.
- Interact with managers, leaders, and executives.
- Work on a part-time basis during the academic year with an option to work full-time over semester breaks.
- Earn academic credit from accredited programs.
- Gain hands-on practical work experience.
- Start building a professional network early.
- Apply for permanent opportunities within the business at the end of the program.
Requirements
- University student status.
- Self-motivated with initiative, perseverance, and curiosity.
- Enjoy working on meaningful innovative projects and driven to learn.
- Studying Degree(s) in Business, potentially with an IT major (other academic backgrounds considered).
- Expected to finish studies no earlier than the end of 2028.
- Able to work at least 2 days per week during semester (3 days preferred).
- High calibre, self-motivated individuals with excellent communication skills in English.
- Interested in technology, innovation, and digital platforms solving business challenges.
- Problem-solvers who are ambitious, passionate, resilient, proactive, open-minded, and able to manage pressure.
- Able to take onboard instructions, prioritize work, be a good listener, empathetic, collaborative, and team-oriented.
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
