About the Role
You will be a strategic business partner, analysing data, trends and developing insights to enable business leaders to make well-informed commercial decisions. You thrive on working with the business in decision support to achieve financial and non-financial targets and managing business and market challenges. This role’s key business partners are Product Line (Category) and Sales, across Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities
- Partnering and support of the business - Product Line (Category) and Sales, across Australia and New Zealand, to deliver results, growth and to strategy
- Performance management, commentary, analysis and insights to identify risks and opportunities across your responsible Product Lines/Category, partnering with the business to address and manage R&Os
- Monthly forecasting cycles, including challenging and influencing optimisation of trade spend (promotional funding) through data and insights
- Analysis and review to support business decisions, which could include although not limited to, setting target product group margins, promotional funding, above and beyond retailer funding, new product development and other business initiatives
- Drive continuous process improvements and enhancements across the Finance team and the organisation, to drive effectiveness and efficiency
- Support on changes in product costs and pricing, and queries from regional and Group teams
- Partnering with offshore support teams including the Centre of Excellence (CoE) team, the Senior Category Analyst and wider ANZ Finance team, to drive best practice and processes
Requirements
- 5 years+ of experience in business partnering roles including analysis, planning/forecasting, reporting, pricing, projects and broader commercial finance responsibilities
- Degree in Business/Commerce or similar, or a proven track record of strong performance in Finance roles
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it)
- Strong communication skills with ability to build good working relationships with all business partners across the organization
- Proficient in Excel and ability to learn new reporting systems and tools
- Proactive, agile and a growth mindset
- Consumer goods and/or FMCG industry experience, or experience in product-based organisations
