About the Role

Airalo is seeking a skilled iOS engineer to join their expert team, focusing on developing new features and extending existing ones in their main product. The role involves working within a modern development environment utilizing Swift Package Manager, hybrid UI workflows with SwiftUI and UIKit, and Swift Concurrency. The team is committed to high code quality with over 80% unit test coverage and cutting-edge agentic End-to-End (E2E) workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop enterprise-quality software components based on product specifications.
  • Deliver brand-new features and enhancements to existing ones.
  • Write clean code adhering to team guidelines.
  • Implement robust tests.
  • Troubleshoot technical or application issues.
  • Collaborate with fellow developers throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation.
  • Stay current with industry best practices.
  • Proactively bring fresh, creative ideas to the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a similar field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing Swift-based iOS applications within agile teams.
  • Track record of publishing and continuously supporting one or more live apps.
  • Proficiency in software architecture and design.
  • Deep proficiency in MVVM or similar modern patterns.
  • Strong understanding of OOP principles.
  • Expertise in iOS Frameworks.
  • Experience with Git/Gitflow workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, processes, and memory management.
  • Practical experience building UIs with SwiftUI and Auto-Layout.
  • Domain exposure to payment systems and marketplaces.
  • Prioritize software reliability through Unit Testing, Feature Testing, and Mocking.
  • Solid, up-to-date knowledge of AI workflows and agentic engineering.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full fluency in English.
  • Thrive in a team-first development environment.
