About the Role

Wavemaker UK is seeking an ambitious Research and Insight Manager to join their award-winning team. This role is crucial for the agency to create audience insight that leads to maximum engagement and attention, resulting in award-winning work. You will immerse yourself in bespoke client research projects, from insight that guides strategic thought to campaign evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the delivery of research and insight projects from beginning to end for a wide range of clients.
  • Take ownership of various research processes and outputs, including research proposal writing and project implementation.
  • Produce research materials such as questionnaires and discussion guides for clients.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams.
  • Analyze data sets, draw conclusions, and present findings clearly.
  • Provide research and insight support on new business pitches.
  • Act as an agency champion for audience, planning, and insight tools.
  • Participate in relevant industry bodies and attend industry events.
  • Apply a commercial mindset to research projects, including working to client budgets and ensuring invoicing procedures are followed.

Requirements

  • Utilize understanding of research and insight tools and methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) to suggest approaches and draw conclusions.
  • Serve as an expert on how tools and methods are applied to meet client or team needs.
  • Confidently and independently answer research questions and respond to ad-hoc requests.
  • Produce research materials such as questionnaires/discussion guides and collate feedback from stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate an analytical mindset, identifying the story behind data and drawing useful conclusions.
  • Guide junior team members on technicalities of tools and research methods.
  • Remain aware of practice and industry changes, challenges, and findings.
  • Possess a strong understanding of how the agency operates and works with clients.
  • Act as a key contact for clients and internal colleagues, building relationships.
  • Act as a key research and insight contact for the agency, addressing queries internally and educating colleagues.
  • Have strong knowledge about a wide range of suppliers and their offerings.
  • Create project plans that assess the relative importance of tasks and follow best practices.
  • Work across several projects, prioritizing tasks and delivering on time.
  • Effectively delegate tasks on research projects to junior team members.
  • Possess excellent written, oral, and electronic communication skills.
  • Have excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Create routine and bespoke communication materials for the agency and clients.
  • Design differentiated communications for various internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrate exceptional finance management, including setting up new suppliers and assisting with contracts.
  • Cost projects and provide realistic predictions of task durations.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the financial impact on decisions.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
