About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and commercially minded Senior Finance Coordinator & PMO Manager to support and coordinate a broad Finance function of more than 50 colleagues across Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Credit Control and related areas. This is not a pure administrative role. You will act as the operational backbone of the Finance organisation: ensuring that priorities are clear, deadlines are tracked, meetings result in action, cross-functional projects move forward and the CFO office runs effectively. You will work closely with the CFO and senior Finance leaders, combining project management, stakeholder coordination, governance support and hands-on operational follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Support the CFO and Finance leadership team in organising priorities, meetings, decision-making and follow-up.
- Prepare leadership meetings, agendas, briefing materials and action trackers.
- Ensure decisions, open points, deadlines and ownership are clearly documented and followed through.
- Coordinate communication across Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Credit Control and other Finance teams.
- Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders on Finance-related coordination topics.
- Coordinate Finance projects, including process improvements, system implementations, reporting enhancements, organisational changes and transformation initiatives.
- Maintain project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, decision logs and status reporting.
- Challenge delays or unclear ownership constructively and escalate where appropriate.
- Support project teams in structuring workstreams, preparing workshops and ensuring delivery against agreed milestones.
- Help turn broad strategic initiatives into clear workplans and practical next steps.
- Coordinate key Finance calendar activities, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, audit preparation and year-end processes.
- Support the preparation and coordination of management presentations, board materials and internal reporting packs.
- Maintain a clear overview of recurring deadlines, governance requirements and deliverables across the Finance function.
- Support documentation of Finance processes, policies, responsibilities and decision rights.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations, summaries and high-quality communication for senior stakeholders.
- Identify recurring inefficiencies, unclear interfaces or bottlenecks across the Finance organisation.
- Propose and implement practical improvements to ways of working, communication flows, meeting structures and reporting routines.
- Establish simple, reliable tools for tracking priorities, projects and commitments.
- Help create a structured, collaborative and accountable Finance culture.
- Support onboarding, team events and internal communications where relevant to the Finance organisation.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in a Finance PMO, Finance Business Management, Chief of Staff, consulting, audit, controlling or comparable coordination role.
- Strong understanding of Finance functions and core processes, ideally including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, audit or reporting cycles.
- Proven experience managing complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Excellent organisational skills, with a strong ability to create structure in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
- Confident working with senior leaders and able to communicate clearly, diplomatically and assertively.
- Highly reliable, discreet and comfortable handling sensitive information.
- Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft 365 skills; experience with project-management or collaboration tools is an advantage.
- Fluent English required; German is highly desirable.
