About the Role
As a Sales Executive, you will support the Conference & Events (C&E) Manager in driving departmental success, productivity, and profitability. This role focuses on growing revenue streams, assessing staff training, and ensuring seamless event execution.
Responsibilities
- Maximize conference and events revenue opportunities.
- Assist in preparing quotes, issuing contracts, managing communications, and database input.
- Maintain expert knowledge of hotel products, packages, and capacities to advise clients.
- Follow up on pending quotes and tentative bookings to convert them into confirmed business.
- Work towards meeting departmental revenue and conversion targets.
- Issue event orders and floor plans to operational teams and clients.
- Manage daily administrative tasks and internal/client correspondence.
- Follow procedures for deposits and payment schedules.
- Research current market offers and competitor activity.
- Conduct site inspections with clients and third-party suppliers.
- Attend sales, operations, and administrative meetings.
- Coordinate with reservations regarding room blocks.
- Complete post-event follow-up.
- Maintain accurate client records and sales activity in iVvy.
- Collaborate with Reservations, Events, and Operations for a seamless client experience.
- Monitor lost business and market trends to improve sales performance.
- Prepare sales reports and maintain an organized pipeline of enquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within hotels or event companies.
- Experience managing and coordinating end-to-end C&E sales.
- Strong focus on yield management and revenue growth.
- Skilled in designing and delivering training programs.
- Demonstrated success in building industry relationships and promoting loyalty programs.
- Adept at cross-functional collaboration, reporting, and strategic planning.
- Collaborative team player with experience in onsite event coordination.
