About the Role
As the senior leader on duty during overnight operations, you will oversee guest satisfaction, financial accuracy, hotel security, and operational decision-making to ensure the property is prepared for the following day.
Responsibilities
- Act as the senior manager on duty for the entire property.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve concerns independently.
- Complete Night Audit and End of Day procedures including banking and cashier reconciliations.
- Perform room rate and folio reviews and revenue adjustments.
- Monitor arrivals, departures, reservations, wake-up calls, and late arrivals.
- Conduct regular security patrols and monitor emergency procedures.
- Verify key control to maintain hotel safety and security.
- Complete comprehensive handovers, Duty Manager logs, and operational reports.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and Front Office teams.
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Night Manager, Duty Manager, or Front Office Supervisor.
- Experience in a premium or boutique hotel environment.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Experience completing Night Audit and hotel financial reconciliations.
- Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS.
- Understanding of hotel security, emergency procedures, and WHS requirements.
