About the Role
The Hunter Douglas Global Management Trainee Program (GMT) is a 10-month leadership development program sponsored by the Executive Leadership Team. It provides comprehensive tools and experiences to develop future leaders while offering a holistic view of the business. Trainees will immerse themselves in the company, culture, and industry, working on real projects and delivering results.
Responsibilities
- Complete three weeks of onboarding, including local onboarding and global induction at HQ.
- Participate in five months of Field Training, rotating through key areas like Sales, Supply, Logistics, Product, and Customer Service.
- Engage in one week of Leadership and Methodology training.
- Complete a four-month individual project, delivering tangible results.
- Present project findings to Leadership in a Capstone presentation.
- Accept a full-time role placement upon program completion.
- Create new implementation processes for new product introductions.
- Implement recommendations to optimize material usage and mitigate scrap rates.
- Conduct pricing analysis for e-commerce platforms.
- Develop communication strategies to enhance customer installation journeys.
- Monetize the Market Funnel by quantifying conversion rates.
Requirements
- Graduated or graduating between 2024 and 2026, with all coursework completed by December 2025.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities through extracurricular activities, job experiences, internships, student clubs, organizations, and volunteer work.
- Must be fully mobile and willing to be on-site at major locations throughout the program.
- Ready to tackle new challenges in diverse environments, including front-line roles in the field, manufacturing plants, and regional offices.
