About the Role

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Private Cloud Compute (PCC) team. This role involves operating and automating critical systems that deliver cloud intelligence while preserving user privacy. You will contribute to building and running services at Apple's scale, ensuring extraordinary availability, scalability, and security for millions of customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and automate critical systems and services for Private Cloud Compute (PCC).
• Ensure availability, scalability, and security of services.
• Contribute to shaping the future of building and running services globally.
• Dive deep into complex systems and contribute to higher-level business and product goals.
• Eliminate repetitive manual processes through automation and iteration.

Requirements

• In-depth hands-on experience operating managed Kubernetes (GKE and/or EKS) in a public cloud.
• Experience scaling distributed systems.
• Experience deploying, supporting, and supervising new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks.
• Experience with scale testing, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
• Ability to write programs using a high-level programming language (Java, Swift, Python, or TypeScript).
• Proclivity towards efficient programming emphasizing improvement via complexity analysis.
• Experience with Nginx, Envoy, Prometheus, and/or Docker.
