About the Role
At Dive, we are building a cloud-native, agent-native simulation platform that makes advanced heat and fluid simulation accessible to every mechanical engineer. Join Dive's engineering team, where you'll collaborate with expert engineers across disciplines to create and enhance solvers and algorithms in C++ and Python. Engage in developing scalable cloud systems and crafting 3D web interfaces for effective data presentation across various devices. Be a part of a revolutionary engineering product journey.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, test, and roll out new infrastructure, services, and data pipelines.
- Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure, building a scalable, redundant, and secure foundation.
- Manage database and storage solutions to ensure terabytes of data are stored, retrieved, and maintained effectively.
- Improve observability of our platform by extending metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Develop and extend Python web services, with a strong emphasis on crafting efficient and robust business logic.
- Build durable workflows using Temporal (temporal.io) to orchestrate and manage complex processes and interactions.
- Aid in the design of service architectures, ensuring that they are scalable, reliable, and performant.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry experience in platform or backend development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied science, or a similar educational background.
- Approach complex technical challenges with critical thinking, make well-reasoned architectural decisions, and effectively prioritize work to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.
- Proficiency with infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, ArgoCD, and Terraform.
- Experience using and ideally implementing the Grafana monitoring stack in a project.
- Practical experience with SQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with client-server and inter-service communication patterns like REST APIs, WebSocket and RPC.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, take ownership of your work, continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
