About the Role

Prime Video's technology teams are creating best-in-class digital video experiences. The Prime Video Personalization and Discovery team is seeking a Data Scientist to build data-driven frameworks for understanding personalization and content discovery innovations. You will influence what millions of customers see on Prime Video.

Responsibilities

  • Use advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from complex, large-scale data sets.
  • Design and implement end-to-end data science workflows, from data acquisition and cleaning to model development, testing, and deployment.
  • Support scalable, self-service data analyses by building datasets for analytics, reporting and ML use cases.
  • Partner with product stakeholders and senior science peers to identify strategic data-driven opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest data science tools, techniques, and best practices and help evangelize them across the organization.

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • 3+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
  • 2+ years of data scientist experience
  • 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment
  • Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
  • Experience in a ML or data scientist role with a large technology company
