About the Role
Drive safety, compliance and quality outcomes across a major education portfolio while partnering with contractors and stakeholders. Play a critical role supporting school infrastructure services. Responsibilities
- Support health, safety, quality and compliance activities across the contract
- Conduct audits of contractor safety documentation including SWMS, toolbox talks and licences
- Monitor contractor compliance with WHS reporting and legislative obligations
- Facilitate consultation, cooperation and coordination between contractors and stakeholders
- Review asbestos registers, hazardous materials registers and site compliance requirements
- Manage contractor and employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Monitor training records and ensure mandatory training requirements are completed
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions
- Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reporting
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives
- Support operational teams during periods of high demand and workforce absences
- Promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Experience in health, safety, quality or compliance roles
- Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting audits and supporting compliance programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective actions
- High attention to detail and strong reporting capability
- Confident using Microsoft Office including Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Formal qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline
- Eligible to work in Australia
