About the Role

This role is for a Family Law Paralegal within a tech company, operating at the intersection of family law and AI. You will be the human support for the AI Paralegal product, stepping in when the AI encounters limitations, fixing backend issues, and translating manual interventions into product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Pick up inbound requests from law firms in real time via Intercom-style messages.
• Resolve issues the AI couldn't handle by accessing the system backend.
• Communicate with clients and lawyers when necessary to understand case requirements.
• Translate manual interventions into clear product tickets for the development team.
• Prioritize tasks within a reactive queue to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist firms in preparing existing matters for the AI Paralegal.
• Participate in workshops for new features to enhance the AI Paralegal's utility for family law firms.

Requirements

• Solid family law paralegal experience, ideally across multiple firms.
• Ability to effectively communicate and set boundaries with family lawyers.
• Sharp judgment in ambiguous situations to determine user needs.
• An eye for detail.
• Strong written communication skills for creating product tickets and notes.
• Comfortable with reactive, fast-paced work, including prioritization and context switching.
• Curiosity about AI's impact on legal work and enthusiasm for building AI solutions.
• Desire for a career beyond traditional law firms.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving, focusing on preventing recurrence.
• Willingness to have a voice in shaping processes.
• Product-minded thinking, articulating the 'why' behind issues.
