About the Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will drive growth within the Sales team by helping pubs, clubs, and hospitality venues across Australia streamline their business operations. This is a high-energy, commercially driven role focused on identifying new opportunities, building relationships with venue owners and operators, and expanding Tyro's presence in the pubs and clubs sector. You will leverage sales instincts, industry knowledge, and relationship-building skills to win new business, understand unique venue needs, and deliver innovative payment and business solutions for increased efficiency and improved customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify leads through various channels including cold calling, email outreach, networking events, and social media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads to ensure continuous business growth.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored solutions and providing exceptional customer service to drive satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other stakeholders to develop effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Create compelling value propositions and sales pitches to effectively communicate the benefits of the company's products and services to potential clients.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing to close deals while maximising profitability and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as product development, marketing, and customer support to ensure alignment and support in achieving sales objectives.
  • Provide feedback from clients and market insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyse market data to uncover new opportunities and market segments for the company's tech products.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in fintech or technology, including experience selling payment, technology or business solutions to pubs, clubs and hospitality venues.
  • Strong understanding of technology products and services, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of initiative.
