About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Educational Leader to join our YMCA Seven Hills Outside School Hours Care team on a permanent part-time basis. This role involves shaping fun, engaging programs that support children's learning and development outside of school hours, guiding educators, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for every child.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the creation, delivery, and ongoing improvement of inspiring educational programs
  • Guiding, motivating, and empowering educators
  • Championing child-centred, play-based learning aligned with the latest frameworks
  • Building a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
  • Leading by example, encouraging reflective practice and best-in-class teaching approaches
  • Connecting and collaborating with families, schools, and community partners
  • Ensuring all programs meet and exceed compliance requirements while maintaining the highest standards of care

Requirements

  • Minimum three years’ experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of child development, attachment, learning
  • A demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning
  • Working knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
