About the Role
The Senior Coordinator Business Operations will support the effective operation of Consumer Affairs by coordinating branch priorities, maintaining delivery visibility, strengthening governance, and monitoring actions, risks, and dependencies. This role also supports communication and engagement activities to keep staff informed and aligned.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Consumer Affairs Delivery Plan and support branch-wide governance, planning and reporting activities.
- Maintain a consolidated view of branch priorities, risks, dependencies and delivery progress to support informed decision-making.
- Drive follow-through of governance actions and commitments, supporting accountability and timely delivery of agreed outcomes.
- Coordinate branch-level recruitment, workforce and resource planning activities, supporting visibility of capability and delivery needs.
- Support the planning and delivery of executive forums, workforce engagement initiatives and branch communications.
- Prepare high-quality briefings, reports, presentations, submissions and correspondence for senior leaders.
- Lead or support initiatives that improve business processes, collaboration and organisational effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships across Fair Trading, the Department of Customer Service and corporate partners to support coordinated delivery of branch priorities.
- Provide guidance and coordination across business support functions to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and customer-focused service delivery.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in business operations, governance, project management, corporate services, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality reports, briefing notes, and executive correspondence.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and corporate business systems.
- Experience coordinating governance, business operations, project delivery or strategic support functions.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience coordinating complex work across multiple stakeholders and maintaining momentum against agreed priorities and actions.
- Experience preparing high-quality reports, briefings and executive correspondence.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels.
- Experience improving business processes, systems or ways of working.
- Ability to analyse information, identify issues and provide practical recommendations.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a strong focus on delivery and follow-through.

- Clerk Grade 9/10 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
- $133,348 base plus superannuation
