About the Role
This role serves as a Business Analyst and proxy Agile Product Owner, responsible for gathering business requirements and use cases from stakeholders, including the MHLW and business sponsors, and translating them into technical requirements for cross-functional delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and articulate the product vision, roadmap, and goals aligned with business strategy.
- Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and Agile delivery teams.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on value, risk, dependencies, and customer impact.
- Write and groom user stories with clear acceptance criteria and business value.
- Balance stakeholder needs with business costs and risks.
- Provide guidance and timely decisions to the development team to maximize efficiency.
- Accept or reject completed work based on quality standards and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, sponsors, and solution delivery teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Engage stakeholders to gather feedback, manage expectations, and communicate progress.
- Identify and manage product risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Support release planning and ensure increments meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Japanese fluency.
- Experience working with Japanese government agencies is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Experience working with real-world data is preferred.
