About the Role

As a Data Scientist at Kyndryl, you will be the bridge between business problems and innovative solutions, utilizing a blend of methodologies, statistics, mathematics, domain expertise, consulting, and software engineering. You will dive deep into the business, understand objectives, convert knowledge into data problems, collect and explore data, and create hypotheses. You will transform business understanding, data understanding, and data preparation using statistical and mathematical modeling techniques to create models that solve intricate business challenges. You will deploy models as code, ensuring they sustain business value throughout their lifecycle. Your expertise will extend to understanding business processes, identifying issues, crafting solutions, and developing standards and policies for data security, privacy, accuracy, availability, and usability. You will also manage data, migration, strategy, change management, and policy and regulation.

Responsibilities

Dive deep into the heart of our business, understanding its objectives and requirements
Convert business knowledge into a data problem
Collect and explore data, seeking underlying patterns and initial insights
Create hypotheses
Utilize statistical and mathematical modeling techniques to create models
Evaluate models for accuracy and generalization
Deploy models as code to applications and processes
Ensure selected model(s) sustain business value throughout their lifecycle
Become intimately familiar with business processes
Identify issues and craft solutions that drive meaningful change
Develop and apply standards and policies that protect data
Ensure data is secure, private, accurate, available, and usable
Manage data, migration, strategy, change management, and policy and regulation

Requirements

Knowledge of modeling tools and programming languages in Python and CTT
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Technical assessment on the maturity, viability, and suitability of AI research, technologies and trends that are relevant to the industry
Develop and deploy software components based on microservices architecture
Strong technical knowledge in AI
Strong coding experience in programming languages such as Python and/or C++
Hands on experience developing and deploying AI Agents, RAG and vector/graph databases
Experience with algorithms for mesh manipulation, Boolean operations, and geometric transformations
Proficiency in relevant 3D modeling or CAD software (e.g., Blender, Rivet) and/or programming libraries (e.g., OpenGL, CGAL, Three.js)
Team player with the ability to work in a cross-functional team with excellent interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong presentation and engagement skills
Possess the required experience to prove you're good at what you do
