Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, pack, and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders.
  • Triage orders based on date and time needed.
  • Select and carefully pack blood products with appropriate temperature-regulating materials for safe transport.
  • Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors.
  • Maintain product records for traceability.
  • Ensure products/samples are suitable for release, meeting production goals.
  • Perform good inventory management practices.
  • Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Perform data entry for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping.
  • Maintain and review accurate physical and electronic manufacturing records.
  • Analyze information and make decisions based on visual inspection and data from other departments to meet time requirements and quality standards.
  • Identify and quarantine products/samples that do not meet quality requirements.
  • Perform disposition of unacceptable products.
  • May make hospital deliveries as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a regulatory, distribution, or manufacturing environment is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Accurate documentation skills.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Position may require a valid driver's license.
  • Requires standing, stretching, stooping, and bending for extended time periods.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
  • May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time.
  • May be required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc.

Salary/Compensations

  • $19.00/hr, plus applicable shift differential for working late nights, overnights, and on the weekends.
