About the Role
The Vice President/Principal will drive and support fundraising efforts and relationships with distributors and asset management companies in Japan, aiming to accelerate the adoption of Blackstone investment solutions and grow the private wealth business.
Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising activities by conducting teach-in sessions and client seminars for distributors.
- Drive strategic promotion planning with marketing/sales teams of distributors and asset management companies.
- Support persistent growth of clients’ assets through the product lifecycle.
- Interface with members of the firm’s global PWS group and other internal groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years’ relevant work experience
- Hands-on knowledge and experience within the asset management industry in Japan
- Existing networks with distributors or sub-advisory partners are preferred
- Great presentation skills (externally and internally)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
- Demonstrate passion for capital markets, alternative investments, and retail and high-net worth businesses in Japan
- Ability to perform at a high-level within a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with a focus on excellence
- Experience in project management (global/NY-based team experience is a plus)
- Relevant Local Financial Product Sales Licenses (or ability to obtain after joining)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
