About the Role

This trainee professional role requires a good knowledge of processes, procedures, and systems used in assigned tasks, along with a basic understanding of underlying concepts. The role involves making judgments based on factual analysis, resolving problems with acquired technical experience, and communicating information concisely and logically while being sensitive to audience diversity. The job holder has a direct but limited impact on the business, restricted to their own job.

Responsibilities

Manage preparing and reviewing loan documentation while providing support to a variety of tasks related to the loan process.
Independently process and close loans within a complex loan operations environment.
Provide day-to-day collateral management, which may include booking cash transactions, making payments, inputting general ledger entries, and performing complex calculations.
Interact with counterparties regarding positions and outstanding balances/claims.
Support an expansive and/or diverse array of products (risk and control) / services.
Follow established procedures to identify and resolve problems related to loan documentation/processing activities that require investigation or research, and make recommendations to management for process improvement.
Design and analyze moderately complex loan documentation reports for management requirements, support/control activities, and the launch of products/services.
Minimize risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements, understanding and monitoring errors to suggest process improvements, and adhering to audit and control policies.
Manage and escalate all inquiries and issues related to loan processing in a timely manner.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of products and processes, and how duties integrate with others in the team and closely related teams.
Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of Bank related systems.
Interact directly with external customers to disseminate or explain information.
Utilize strong communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements

0-2 years Experience
Elementary level knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan Process
Demonstrate understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and Services
Basic awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentation
Able to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues
Awareness of various risks, policies and control measures and processes
Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhere to Policies
