About the Role

The Officer executes Shareholder Services and Client Trading activities across APAC, ensuring operational accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Serving as a subject matter expert, the role collaborates with global teams to support business growth, client service excellence, and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Process shareholder activity and client trading transactions within deadlines and service standards.
  • Ensure transactions are completed accurately according to documented procedures and controls.
  • Provide Portfolio Management with accurate, timely data on daily subscription and redemption activity.
  • Monitor transaction flows and resolve exceptions, discrepancies, and breaks.
  • Maintain high standards of productivity, quality, and client service.
  • Support APAC business activities across multiple markets and products.
  • Support automation, digitization, and AI-enabled initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for designated processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Act as an escalation point for operational issues and complex transactions.
  • Maintain knowledge of SHS products, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Identify and escalate operational risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support error investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen controls and reduce risk.
  • Participate in process improvement, transformation, and automation initiatives.
  • Support system testing, UAT activities, and implementation of new processes.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and eliminate manual activities.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance the operating environment and client experience.
  • Maintain and update procedures and operating documentation.
  • Participate in cross-training to improve team flexibility and resiliency.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across APAC and global teams.
  • Support business continuity and operational resilience objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across APAC, North America, and EMEA.
  • Participate in global projects and working groups.
  • Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in investment operations, transfer agency, shareholder services, client trading, fund administration, or related functions.
  • Strong technology aptitude and willingness to learn emerging technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with operational transformation, testing, or automation initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of AI, Generative AI, RPA, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Power Automate, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of operational controls and risk management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting mutual funds and ETFs.
  • Knowledge of APAC markets and regulatory environment.
  • Experience working with complex operational systems and data analysis tools.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
