About the Role
Service Stream's Telecommunications division seeks an energetic and experienced Field Supervisor to support the Field Services Manager in daily operational activities and contractor management for the NBN Unify Services contract. This role involves directing and supervising field staff and subcontractors to ensure safe and effective site operations, quality management, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of field staff and sub-contractors.
- Undertake scheduling of work, staff and equipment to ensure production targets are met.
- Ensure all field work is of a high quality consistent with relevant OH & S policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and assist in the training of all staff and sub-contractors.
- Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client’s network and plant.
- Liaise with and make all arrangements with Public Authorities for provision of services to the network and working in public areas.
- Arrange reports to management and the customer on the status of work.
Requirements
- Previous working experience in telecommunications network construction environment leading NBN and Telstra field operations.
- Expert knowledge for the delivery and maintenance of large-scale construction projects for NBN and a thorough understanding of relevant aspects of the various networks and the work practices required by NBN.
- Understand materials/component identification and supply chain flows across all technologies.
- Ability in resolving day-to-day operational issues and solve technical problems with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgement, and key working relationships with the client’s regional teams.
- Flexibility and ability to Travel required.
