About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, proactive, and people-focused Talent Specialist to join our Retail Recruitment team on a Full-Time Fixed-Term Contract. This role will support retail hiring across our store network and provide key recruitment operations support, including talent pipelines, offer letters, ATS support, and recruitment administration. You will work closely with store leaders to deliver a seamless candidate experience and ensure smooth hiring processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support end-to-end hiring activities for new store openings, including talent sourcing, interview scheduling, assessment centres, offer management, and onboarding readiness.
  • Support with organising and executing high-volume assessment centres and hiring events, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates, interviewers, and business leaders.
  • Partner with Retail Leadership to develop hiring timelines and workforce plans that support successful new store launches and seasonal hiring peaks.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue coordination, candidate communications, interview schedules, hiring materials, and day-of event execution.
  • Support large-scale seasonal recruitment campaigns by building talent pipelines, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and tracking hiring progress against targets.
  • Monitor new store opening and seasonal hiring metrics, providing regular updates and identifying risks to ensure hiring goals are achieved on time.
  • Act as a key point of contact for candidates and hiring teams throughout assessment centres, hiring events, and mass recruitment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with recruiters, store leaders, and cross-functional partners to deliver an efficient and engaging recruitment experience during periods of rapid growth.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of recruiting, coordination, talent acquisition, HR, retail operations, or customer-focused experience (agency or in-house experience preferred).
  • Exposure to retail hiring, customer-facing environments, or supporting recruitment activities is highly valued.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities, tasks, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) such as Greenhouse is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, job boards, social media, or other sourcing tools is preferred.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
  • Friendly, professional communicator who enjoys building relationships and creating a positive candidate experience.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Operations, or Human Resources.
  • Strong computer skills across Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Aligns with and embodies ALO's Guiding Principles.
  • Requires a flexible approach to availability, including working a rotating roster across peak trading periods and weekends.
