About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead data-driven AI/IT integration projects within the Defense & Security sector. You will be responsible for project execution, client satisfaction, and business development support.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in the Defense & Security sector with a deep understanding of industry-specific requirements and processes.
• Acquire new orders and manage tenders, focusing on the Defense & Security environment and actively building client relationships.
• Lead data-driven AI/IT integration projects, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality execution.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and actively support team leads in business development.
• Manage stakeholders, including clients and internal interfaces (e.g., partner management, controlling, team leadership), with active expectation management.
• Plan project roadmaps, sub-projects, budgets, and resources.
• Prepare, conduct, and follow up on meetings, workshops, and steering committees.

Requirements

• Experienced Project Manager in data-driven AI/IT integration projects.
• Solid knowledge in the data domain, ideally with practical experience in Data Science or Data Engineering.
• Proficient in common project methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile with Scrum/Kanban) with successful application in client projects.
• Experience with relevant tools and ideally relevant certifications.
• Experience working with public clients or military industry projects.
• Experience with security-relevant requirements (e.g., security clearance, IT security regulations, regulatory frameworks).
• Ideally, completed military service in the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) in the middle or higher service.
• Willingness to travel and potentially undergo security screening (e.g., Ü2/Ü3).
• Confident and professional demeanor.
• Convincing communication skills in German and English.
• Strong presentation and moderation skills.
• Structured work approach.

• Demonstrated commitment, flexibility, and creativity.
