About the Role

As a Senior Digital Product Owner in Payments, you will lead the eliciting and documenting of requirements for the modernization of RBC Payment Systems in a fast-paced Agile working environment. You will be responsible for driving the execution of all aspects of requirements delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act with a product owner mindset when it comes to requirements: defining, updating, and clarifying requirements as required with business, operational and technical partners
  • Actively engage with solution architects and developer leads to take forward the requirements to design pipeline
  • Co-operatively with the scum master and product owner to manage project risks, assumptions, and constraints
  • Actively work with quality engineering lead in defining user story test scenarios and E2E testing scope
  • Analyze and document detailed business and system solution requirements using enterprise standard requirements methodology
  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise and payment requirement standards
  • Apply advanced coverage analysis techniques to ensure traceability between scope, detailed requirements, and testing through to implementation
  • Provide guidance and support to build the capabilities of less senior BAs

Requirements

  • 5+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects
  • Experience in Agile development
  • Experience in Payment systems / ISO20022
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation
  • Experience in elicitation techniques such as document analysis, interviews, facilitated workshops, observation, prototyping, focus groups, surveys
  • Requirements analysis and documentation such as scope modelling, data modelling, business process modelling, use cases, activity diagrams
  • Requirements management and communication – requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, backlog management
  • Experience working in the Financial/Insurance industry
  • Working knowledge of RESTful API development
  • Ability to read and understand data format definitions (YAML, JSON, XML, COBOL copybooks, etc)
  • Experience in Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) / Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) environment
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis
