About the Role
At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Emergency Department (ED) nursing is a moment-to-moment, career-transforming experience. Our nurses assess conditions, arrange multidisciplinary care, and utilize innovative techniques to impact the future of emergency medical care. This is a full-time opportunity working 12-hour overnight shifts with weekend and holiday requirements.
Responsibilities
- Independently assess conditions and rapidly arrange multidisciplinary care.
- Identify challenges, comfort families, and organize teams when every second counts.
- Collaborate with paramedics, physicians, and others to use induced hypothermia, digital radiology, and other novel techniques.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
- At least 1 year of previous nursing experience.
- All roles require on-site presence.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
