About the Role
As the leader of our Data and Analytics team, you will guide a talented group of analysts and engineers in designing and scaling solutions that drive informed decision-making across the organization. You will set technical directions for modern analytics practices: modernizing our platform through Microsoft Fabric, reducing technical debt, and establishing consistent reporting standards that scale with the needs of the business. You will balance direct contribution to BI and analytics development with the responsibilities of building and growing a high-performing team. Success in this role will require strong technical fundamentals, the ability to lead and develop people, and a forward-thinking approach to shaping the analytics infrastructure, culture, and capabilities within Comfort Medical.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Data Analysts and Engineers
- Hire, develop, and mentor analytics talent toward emerging leadership roles
- Foster a culture of analytics excellence and establish team standards for quality, documentation, and practices
- Balance reactive service requests with longer-term strategic initiatives
- Partner with Business Unit leaders and technical teams to communicate strategy, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Lead modernization of the analytics platform, including migration toward Microsoft Fabric-based data engineering
- Reduce technical debt and drive adoption of best practices for data modeling and pipeline development
- Own the analytics technology stack roadmap in coordination with IT and Platform Enablement
- Establish and maintain data security, compliance, and governance practices aligned with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Drive end-to-end analytics outcomes through both leadership and hands-on contribution, including designing scalable data models, building impactful dashboards, and developing analytical solutions for complex business problems
- Lead analytics workstreams for cross-functional projects, translating requirements into technical solutions
- Design and maintain enterprise data models, reports, and BI dashboards
- Identify, develop, and maintain process automation solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps to improve team efficiency and support operational initiatives
- Manage project scope, timelines, and feasibility for automation initiatives

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis roles
- Demonstrated expertise with SQL and Power BI
- Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, life sciences, financial services, etc.)
- Advanced SQL and Power BI expertise, including data modeling, visualization, and performance optimization
- Experience architecting scalable analytics solutions within modern data platforms (e.g., Fabric, Lakehouse, cloud ecosystems)
- Proven leader of high-performing teams, with experience developing talent and managing distributed resources
- Strong project management skills; experience working in Agile environments
- Strong business partnership skills, translating complex needs into impactful analytics solutions
- Knowledge of data governance, quality, and compliance (HIPAA / regulated environments)
- Ability to operate and balance workload across both strategic and operational priorities
- Hands-on, “player-coach” mindset with willingness to directly contribute to complex analytics work
