About the Role
Serves as a liaison between the physician's practice and patients, providing accurate information regarding the surgeon, practice, and anticipated procedures.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate surgeon consultations by providing pre- and postoperative information
- Provide effective fee quoting and scheduling optimization
- Brief patients on procedures of interest
- Consult on surgical quotes
- Book surgery dates
- Collect payments
- Establish rapport with patients
- Follow up with prospects and track patient status
- Manage correspondence and handle cancellations or rescheduling
- Assist the doctor during consultations and evaluations
- Perform office administrative duties
- Provide nursing support as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in a surgical practice or customer service-oriented position
- Strong knowledge of organizational dynamics
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in crisis situations
- Proficiency in English with effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good physical condition to withstand the demands of an active position
- Manual dexterity and good eye/hand coordination
- Ability to stand for long hours, walk, stoop, bend, sit, push, pull, and squat
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs to move patients, equipment, or supplies
