About the Role
This position utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a variety of tasks in the production of the Power Systems Division Evolution arrestor product lines. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, comply with JSA’s, wear proper PPE, and comply with the production attire policy.
- Ensure work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on coworkers or self.
- Report any safety issue immediately to supervisor or manager.
- Perform general cleaning of shop areas and maintain personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility.
- Execute all assemblies, processes, tests, and inspections related to a variety of standard light to medium weight assembly according to the OMS/standard work for each operation.
- Work from prints and work orders.
- Perform all operations within the Evolution department including build station, wrap room, cut and grind station, leak testing, front of wave (FOW) testing, gap assembly, prime and hang station, stuffing, final assembly/packing, box building, cap etching, and repairs.
- Utilize tools including various air and hand tools, including in-line drivers, torque guns, Allen wrenches, and safety knives.
- Work within a fast-paced, sometimes repetitive department, and assist elsewhere based on production needs.
- Maintain quality standards consistent with Eaton’s Quality Policy.
- Visually inspect components and products.
- Take ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues.
- Notify the supervisor/manager of all problems with product or quality.
- Work in a team environment, accepting other duties as assigned, including flexing between work cells/stations as needed.
- Perform assigned miscellaneous duties within the scope of operations.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered.
- Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
