About the Role
The Associate, PR & Influencer is responsible for building and driving the implementation of the PR strategy and influencer programs for Tom Ford Beauty & Balmain Beauty North America to drive brand growth, relevance, and desirability. This role interfaces with beauty/lifestyle media, supports press events and product launches, and serves as the day-to-day contact for relevant agencies.
Responsibilities
- Identify relevant influencers, tastemakers, celebrity makeup artists, fashion stylists, and industry trendsetters.
- Participate in the planning and drive the execution of North America seeding mailers.
- Track and issue monthly influencer marketing reports, providing a data-driven approach with EMV as a key business driver.
- Develop and execute proactive media pitches and correspond with media on a reactive basis.
- Track and issue monthly media relations reports, providing a data-driven approach with MIV as a key business driver.
- Make recommendations based on media analytics.
- Drive ideation, planning, and execution of North America product launch events and press dinners.
- Partner with Global TOM FORD BEAUTY and BALMAIN BEAUTY teams on Global Destination Events and Brand tentpole occasions.
- Manage all internal PR finance operations, including documentation for ELC Finance, Buying Center, and relevant teams.
- Manage all POs, invoicing, and new vendor set up.
- Manage product closet/samples, including ordering product and collateral.
- Ensure timely creative asset receipt/delivery for campaigns and product send outs.
- Serve as the point person for PR agencies, responding to press inquiries and issues.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in beauty public relations, influencer marketing, social media, and/or PR/influencer agency experience.
- Experience and expertise in building influencer relations for brands.
- Experience and success in pitching Long Lead and Short Lead media.
- Existing editorial contacts in the beauty space and beyond.
- Knowledge of influencer and social trend landscape.
- Passion for pop culture and beauty.
- Strong understanding of content creation, social trends, performance drivers, and how to craft an influencer brief.
- Proficiency in all social platforms established and emerging, with a special focus on TikTok and Instagram.
- Proficiency in influencer management and reporting tools (i.e. Launch Metrics, Lefty, Tribe Dynamics).
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to independently set priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functionally and build relationships internally and externally.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of creativity and strategic vision.
