About the Role
As an Associate Director, you will play a key leadership role within the team, combining client ownership, strategic advisory, and people leadership to drive both client and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of tax and accounting solutions across a diverse portfolio including privately owned businesses, family groups, SMEs, trusts, partnerships, and international structures
- Act as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and leading high-value engagements from planning through to delivery
- Take ownership of a significant client portfolio, including leading meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions with senior stakeholders
- Oversee and review complex compliance and advisory work, ensuring technical excellence and commercial value
- Drive strategic advisory engagements, including structuring, growth initiatives, and business transformation projects
- Collaborate across KPMG to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary solutions
- Contribute to business development, identifying opportunities to grow client relationships and expand the practice
- Lead, coach and inspire a team, fostering a high-performance, inclusive and collaborative culture
- Play a key role in resource planning, team development, and performance management, supporting capability uplift across the team
Requirements
- Proven experience at Senior Manager or Associate Director level within a professional services or advisory environment
- Strong background in private business tax, accounting, and advisory services
- Demonstrated experience managing complex client engagements and stakeholder relationships
- Track record of leading, coaching and developing teams
- Experience across a mix of compliance and advisory work, including structuring and mid-market client issues
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to contribute to business development and growth initiatives
