About the Role
Krafton's Publishing Platform Division (PPD) is seeking a Game Data Analyst to support their North American studios. This role involves building data infrastructure and analytics services, defining event taxonomies, creating data pipelines, and ensuring stakeholders can make data-driven decisions. The position emphasizes integrating AI into daily workflows and pushing the boundaries of analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Define and standardize event taxonomies through the in-house central SDK.
- Build data pipelines and reporting layers to support studio decision-making.
- Integrate AI into daily workflows, using tools like AI-assisted BI and text-to-SQL.
- Translate raw telemetry data into analytical stories for non-technical stakeholders, using LLMs for synthesis and commentary.
- Serve as the primary analytics liaison between NA studios and the PPD central team in Korea.
- Evaluate and validate SDK integration quality with studio engineers.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on game health, feature performance, A/B tests, and live ops events.
- Automate recurring analyses using AI pipelines.
- Build lightweight AI-assisted tooling to improve efficiency.
- Contribute to roadmap discussions for the central analytics platform, advocating for NA studio needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years in data analytics, with 3+ years in the games industry.
- Deep experience with event-based telemetry and game data pipelines.
- Advanced SQL proficiency.
- Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with live service game metrics (DAU, D1/D7/D30 retention, ARPU, LTV, session depth).
- Familiarity with AI tools and interest in leveraging them for analytics workflows.
- Ability to write effective prompts and critically evaluate AI output.
- Track record of owning end-to-end analytics from instrumentation to reporting.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working across multiple studios or product teams simultaneously.
