About the Role

Pier One Sydney Harbour is looking for a curious, outgoing, and warm individual to join their team. They believe in the power of personality and style to deliver mind-blowing service to guests, rather than following a standard hotel script. This role offers endless opportunities for motivated and skilled individuals to showcase their talents and make a real impact on guest experiences, while elevating the associate's experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage kitchen operations and ensure compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
• Estimate daily production needs on a weekly basis and communicate production needs to kitchen personnel daily.
• Assist Head and Sous Chef with all kitchen operations and preparations.
• Prepare and cook dishes, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
• Develop, design and create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
• Assist in determining how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
• Maintain purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.
• Train employees in safety procedures.

Requirements

• Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification
• Passion for the industry
• Relevant experience in a similar role
• Working rights in Australia

• Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment
• Armed with smart solutions and a can-do attitude
• Think outside the box and have an open-minded personality.
