Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical instruction for the undergraduate nursing program in the clinical and/or skills lab setting.
  • Teach in specialty areas including Fundamentals, Pediatrics, Parent-Child, Medical-Surgical, Psychiatric, and Community Health.
  • Instruct for Traditional Day and Evening, Accelerated Day and Weekend programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in specialty area.
  • Recent hospital experience required for Medical-Surgical courses.
  • Demonstrated current clinical competence (certification) in the specialty area; clinical practice within the previous five years preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
  • Enrollment in an MSN program may be considered.
  • Current, unencumbered New York State RN license required.
  • New Jersey State RN license preferred but not required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
