About the Role
Join Insignia Financial as a Senior Platform Engineer and play a key role in shaping the platforms that power our enterprise technology environment. Working within our Infrastructure, Cloud & Workplace team, you’ll drive the design, automation, and continuous improvement of cloud-native platforms, developer tooling, and containerised services. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll help deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that support critical business and client-facing services. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support cloud-native platform services, container orchestration solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation capabilities.
- Deliver strategic platform initiatives including cloud migration, Kubernetes platform uplift, Infrastructure-as-Code adoption, and self-service developer platforms.
- Drive platform reliability through observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, automation, and continuous service improvement.
- Embed secure-by-design principles and ensure platform services meet security, compliance, resilience, and governance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers while promoting best practices across cloud, automation, and platform engineering.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Cyber Security, and delivery teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and well-governed technology outcomes.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps practices, and modern CI/CD tooling.
- Experience delivering platform modernisation programs such as cloud transformation, container platform adoption, and infrastructure automation initiatives.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring technologies including tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic, or similar platforms.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using technologies such as Python, Bash, Go, or equivalent.
- Experience with configuration management at scale with Ansible, Puppet, Chef or similar.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions, mentor peers, and translate complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes.
