About the Role
Engineering Managers are key people and technical leaders who help their teams deliver meaningful value to customers and the business. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Owners to set direction, drive delivery outcomes, and guide the team through technical decisions. You will bring a strong engineering background and be comfortable rolling up your sleeves where required, while keeping your main focus on people leadership, technical excellence, delivery, vendor and partner engagement, and the health of production systems.
Responsibilities
- Building, coaching, mentoring, and growing a high-performing engineering team.
- Shaping the future direction of the platform.
- Fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Partnering closely with Product Owners to set direction and drive delivery outcomes.
- Guiding the team through technical decisions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
- At least 3 years in a leadership or management role managing people, operational excellence and delivery challenges.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within scope.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical and operational decisions.
Skills
- Modern software development practices, tools and technologies.
- Experience with a variety of technology stacks including .NET.
- Genesys or contact centre platforms (highly desirable, but not mandatory).
- Cloud-native technologies and architectures (e.g., AWS, microservices).
- Leadership skills.
