About the Role

The Analyst will work closely with investment professionals on deal teams to execute PE investment strategies within the U.S. Residential Mortgage sector. They will play an integral role in the acquisitions, transaction management, and servicing of new mortgage whole loans pools for private equity vehicles. The role offers exposure to diverse investment strategies, capital markets financing structures, and analytics in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of asset acquisitions, transaction management, servicing, and capital markets processes to execute on Hudson’s U.S. Residential Mortgage strategy.
  • Participate in meetings with management teams, investment banking, and capital markets financing sources.
  • Provide support to asset management initiatives of existing investments including industry tracking, asset reporting, financial analysis, developing and executing business plans, and other ad hoc strategic projects.
  • Build ad-hoc analysis and prepare high-level research as needed.

Requirements

  • Expert MS Excel, analytical and financial modeling skills are a must.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple processes and priorities.
  • Hard working, detail-oriented, and committed to producing great end results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment and excel at executing multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as a member of a team.
  • A self-teacher and quick learner able to pick up the technical skills necessary for any project.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management.
