About the Role
Based in Newcastle, you will lead the delivery of a landmark $100M+ greenfield hydrogen project. This role utilizes your experience delivering complex industrial projects, with responsibility for construction delivery, stakeholder management, project governance, quality outcomes, and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end leadership of a major industrial construction project from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover
- Develop, maintain and monitor detailed project programmes, ensuring delivery against key milestones, budget and quality objectives
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage subcontractors across multiple work fronts
- Drive stakeholder engagement and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, regulators and delivery partners
- Manage project governance, reporting, risk and commercial outcomes
- Oversee quality assurance, quality control and commissioning activities to ensure successful project completion
- Coordinate complex interfaces across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and control systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and project-specific requirements
Requirements
- Relevant Trade Qualification or a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
- Proven experience delivering large-scale industrial construction projects valued in excess of $50M
- Experience within sectors such as fuel terminals, gas processing facilities, water treatment plants, energy, chemicals, heavy industry or similar process infrastructure
- Strong understanding of Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP) project delivery
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving pipelines, SCADA, HV/LV electrical infrastructure, control systems and complex systems integration is highly desirable
- Extensive commissioning and quality management experience within industrial or process plant environments
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong programme development, planning and project controls capability
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to drive performance across project teams
