About the Role

Eliza is seeking a Marketing Manager, their first dedicated marketing hire, to own execution across content, LinkedIn, events, and sales collateral. This is a hands-on role requiring aggressive use of AI tools and operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own content and thought leadership, managing the editorial pipeline end to end.
  • Edit and sharpen drafts from engineers and executives into publishable work.
  • Turn technical brain dumps into credible practitioner content.
  • Run LinkedIn, organic and paid, owning the company presence end to end.
  • Manage the paid media agency, setting campaign briefs, reviewing targeting and creative, and holding them accountable to CPL and pipeline contribution.
  • Direct the video agency on ad creative, including briefs, feedback, and versioning for campaigns.
  • Manage agencies and vendors, acting as day-to-day owner of web development, video production, and paid media relationships.
  • Keep website updates and campaigns moving through the web agency.
  • Set direction, judge work against a high bar, and push back when it misses.
  • Execute events, owning logistics and follow-up for executive events, workshops, and co-hosted programs.
  • Build pre-event outreach and post-event nurture sequences.
  • Produce collateral and run campaigns, including one-pagers, workshop briefs, and sales assets.
  • Keep HubSpot campaigns, lists, and attribution clean and reportable.

Requirements

  • 5–6 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in professional services, consulting, or enterprise software.
  • Daily, fluent use of AI tools in your actual workflow (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar).
  • Owns outcomes, not tasks: defines what needs to happen, drives it, and delivers without being managed closely.
  • Thrives in ambiguity, moves extremely fast, and holds a high personal quality bar.
  • Experience managing multiple agencies or vendors at once.
  • Strong writer and editor across long-form content and short-form social.
  • Event execution experience, from invite list through follow-up.
  • HubSpot proficiency.
  • Based in New York City, or able to relocate, for in-person work with leadership and NYC-based events.
  • Partner or co-marketing experience with a major technology platform.
  • Familiarity with brand systems and light design tools (Figma, Canva).
  • Experience as an early or first marketing hire, building function infrastructure from scratch.
