About the Role
FTI Consulting's Economic & Financial Consulting (EFC) practice in Australia provides critical, evidence-based insight and analysis on economic, financial, and regulatory opportunities and challenges. We advise public and private sectors, regulators, law firms, and international agencies, drawing on collective expertise to address complex client issues.
Responsibilities
- Undertake economic analysis applying a range of economic methods across a broad range of industries and topics.
- Gather and analyze economic data.
- Contribute to project delivery and learn the fundamentals of consulting projects.
- Organize client and stakeholder consultations.
- Attend client and stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare drafts of sections of reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.
- Undertake research to support business development opportunities.
- Assist with the development of written proposals.
- Meet other professionals and clients and expand your professional network.
- Attend networking events representing FTI Consulting in front of clients and prospects.
Requirements
- A degree in economics, finance, public policy, law, or a related discipline.
- Qualifications in science or engineering are highly regarded for our energy practice.
- Strong foundations in analytical and quantitative methods used to solve economic/financial problems.
- Soft skills, such as empathy and respect: the ability to understand and recognize clients’ needs and work well with our people.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to deadlines, changing deliverables, and evolving task priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a multi-task environment with strong attention to detail in deadline-driven situations.
- This role may require travel to clients and FTI offices.
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
