About the Role

Contrarian Thinking Capital is seeking a Head of Investor Relations to manage the fund's capital, focusing on raising, retaining, and operating it. This role is crucial for driving the LP pipeline, serving as a key contact for limited partners, producing investor communications, and coordinating fund operations to ensure readiness for audits. The position acts as a liaison between General Partners, limited partners, and fund administration, collaborating with investment, finance, legal, and media teams.

Responsibilities

Drive the LP pipeline from initial contact to signed subscription documents.
Serve as a primary point of contact for limited partners.
Produce communications to keep limited partners informed.
Coordinate fund operations to maintain audit readiness.
Collaborate with investment team, finance, legal, and media/community teams.

Requirements

Proven experience in raising capital and participating in fundraises.
Understanding of allocator mindset and the distinction between meetings and commitments.
Familiarity with fund operations including capital calls, distributions, subscription documents, LPAs, fund administration, and DDQs.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including building trust, reading a room, and handling sensitive conversations with discretion.
Precise and credible written communication skills that enhance investor confidence.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Ability to represent the brand effectively, balancing approachable and institutional tones.
Discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential financial and investor information.
Takes ownership of outcomes rather than tasks.
Organized to the point that things don’t slip, and builds systems so they can’t.
Comfortable in a small team environment, acting as a center of gravity and being hands-on.
Handles sensitive conversations with judgment and discretion.
