About the Role
Contrarian Thinking Capital is seeking a Head of Investor Relations to manage the fund's capital, focusing on raising, retaining, and operating it. This role is crucial for driving the LP pipeline, serving as a key contact for limited partners, producing investor communications, and coordinating fund operations to ensure readiness for audits. The position acts as a liaison between General Partners, limited partners, and fund administration, collaborating with investment, finance, legal, and media teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive the LP pipeline from initial contact to signed subscription documents.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for limited partners.
- Produce communications to keep limited partners informed.
- Coordinate fund operations to maintain audit readiness.
- Collaborate with investment team, finance, legal, and media/community teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in raising capital and participating in fundraises.
- Understanding of allocator mindset and the distinction between meetings and commitments.
- Familiarity with fund operations including capital calls, distributions, subscription documents, LPAs, fund administration, and DDQs.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including building trust, reading a room, and handling sensitive conversations with discretion.
- Precise and credible written communication skills that enhance investor confidence.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to represent the brand effectively, balancing approachable and institutional tones.
- Discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential financial and investor information.
- Takes ownership of outcomes rather than tasks.
- Organized to the point that things don’t slip, and builds systems so they can’t.
- Comfortable in a small team environment, acting as a center of gravity and being hands-on.
- Handles sensitive conversations with judgment and discretion.
