About the Role

As the People & Capability Manager, you will lead a team of People & Safety Business Partners and provide strategic leadership across the full spectrum of People & Capability, including workplace relations, organisational development, workforce planning, safety, injury management, wellbeing and employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the People & Capability Business Partnering function, delivering strategic people solutions across Support Office, Corporate Clinics and Franchise Partner networks.
  • Partner with senior leaders to align workforce strategy, capability, culture and business priorities.
  • Coach leaders across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, performance, employee relations, organisational change and leadership effectiveness.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, engagement, organisational effectiveness, and a high-performing culture.
  • Leverage workforce insights and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic advice across complex workplace relations matters, including investigations, grievances, performance management, organisational restructures, and broader change management.
  • Apply employment legislation, industrial instruments, modern awards and policies to deliver compliant and commercially focused outcomes.
  • Identify people risks and strengthen governance, frameworks and processes across the People & Capability function.
  • Provide strategic leadership and governance of MediAesthetics’ Safety, Health and Wellbeing framework, ensuring compliance and alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee incident management, investigations, corrective actions and risk mitigation activities to ensure effective safety outcomes.
  • Lead initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, psychological safety, resilience and a supportive workplace culture.
  • Lead the organisation’s injury management framework, ensuring compliance with workers compensation obligations and contemporary recovery practices.
  • Oversee workplace injury management processes, ensuring early intervention, effective case management and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
  • Partner with leaders, employees, medical providers and external stakeholders to develop effective recovery-at-work plans.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of People & Safety Business Partners, building capability and strengthening the impact of the People function.
  • Partner with the Talent and Operations Manager to deliver an integrated People & Capability service model spanning talent acquisition, onboarding, capability development, workforce planning and employee experience.
  • Contribute as a senior member of the People & Capability leadership team, influencing strategy and embedding contemporary people practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in a senior People & Culture leadership role, such as People & Culture Manager, Senior HR Business Partner or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic people partnering across employee relations, organisational development, workforce planning, safety and wellbeing.
  • Experience influencing and coaching senior leaders to improve people outcomes and build leadership capability.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, modern awards, enterprise agreements and workplace health and safety frameworks.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters, organisational change and workforce transformation initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust, influence decisions and operate effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using people data and insights to drive informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, confidentiality and sound judgement when managing sensitive matters.
