About the Role
McCluskey Transportation is seeking a full-time Dispatcher responsible for scheduling and coordinating school bus drivers, focusing on customer service and passenger satisfaction. This role is ideal for an organized individual with a focus on efficiency and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Ensure drivers and staff are treated fairly and consistently according to guidelines.
- Ensure school routes are covered efficiently and fairly.
- Accurately input data for driver payroll for assigned routes.
- Assist in answering public and driver inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Complete all required paperwork and requests accurately and timely.
- Create and improve existing Operations systems.
- Maintain a basic understanding of the school bus fleet.
- Inform appropriate staff of major issues, changes, or concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Previous dispatch experience required, preferably in the school bus industry.
- Operations experience is considered an asset.
- Good knowledge of Toronto city roadways.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy.
- Expertise in organizational planning and problem-solving.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
