About the Role
Our Austin, TX Entertainment & Live Events team insures a variety of clients in the music, live event, film, theater, and production industries. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager to assist with a wide spectrum of commercial insurance lines including casualty, property, workers comp, E&O, and D&O Cyber-Liability coverages.
Responsibilities
- Effective and timely communication with all clients via email, letters & telephone
- Review client needs and advise on appropriate insurers, coverage, and pricing
- Prepare insurance applications for required coverage lines
- Prepare accurate, timely, professional, and compliant presentations, reports, and other market and client documents
- Review client contracts and insurance requirements
- Issue certificates of insurance and coverage binders
- Comply thoroughly with delegated authorities
- Invite renewals and new business expediently to maximize retention and new business
- Check and issue insurance documentation
- Prepare premium invoices and client accounting statements
- Complete various reports as required throughout the insurance cycle
- Liaise with insurers in relation to client's policies
- Discuss additional products, cover, and services that the client needs and requests
- Maintain and update electronic client files
- Minimize aged debt
- Perform other duties as required by management
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of commercial insurance account management experience required
- Strong, professional communication skills – both written and verbal
- High attention to detail
- Ability to learn and understand software systems quickly
- Adapt well to priority changes and deadlines
- Consistently quick to respond to and/or acknowledge communications
- Positive and outgoing disposition
- Eager to work as a team but also functions well working independently
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial account manager role
- Current property/casualty license
- Experience with agency management software (preferably Sagitta)
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of commercial insurance lines
- Proven ability to effectively negotiate rates and coverage with underwriters
- Excellent communication skills with clients during the sales and/or service processes

Salary/Compensations
- Compensation dependent upon qualifications
- Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data.
