About the Role

The Director, Data Analytics provides operational leadership for CBH’s analytics functions, ensuring data intake, analytic products, and evaluation activities are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational priorities. This role operationalizes data governance and supports the responsible use of data and analytics across CBH, partnering closely with Data Informatics to ensure analytics are supported by strong infrastructure and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the enterprise analytics strategy.
  • Implement analytic standards, data intake frameworks, and reporting methodologies.
  • Operationalize data governance and promote responsible analytic use.
  • Coordinate with Data Informatics to align analytics with analytics infrastructure and governance.
  • Provide strategic oversight of Data Capture operations.
  • Ensure data is collected, structured, and validated for downstream analytics.
  • Prioritize workflow improvements and system enhancements to strengthen data quality.
  • Oversee vendor relationships supporting data capture needs.
  • Provide direct leadership and daily oversight for the Research Analytics team.
  • Ensure analytic work is rigorous, reproducible, and aligned with CBH’s priorities.
  • Apply and guide advanced statistical methods and reproducible workflows (SQL, R).
  • Maintain strong analytic standards, documentation, and quality controls.
  • Provide direct leadership and operational oversight for the BI team.
  • Oversee development of BI dashboards, KPIs, and analytic tools aligned with organizational needs.
  • Implement standardized reporting frameworks and BI governance.
  • Ensure BI data products use validated data and support consistent interpretation.
  • Triage analytics requests with Data Informatics to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Oversee development of BI dashboards, KPIs, geospatial products, and analytic reports.
  • Ensure timely, accurate regulatory and operational reporting.
  • Deliver insights that inform clinical, operational, and strategic decisions.
  • Partner with Clinical, Operations, Finance, and IT to align analytics with business needs.
  • Coordinate with Data Informatics on governance, integration, and analytics infrastructure.
  • Represent CBH in meetings and analytic collaborations.
  • Supervise and develop managers and staff across Data Capture, Research Analytics, and BI.
  • Set performance expectations, provide coaching, and support professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive analytics or data leadership experience in healthcare or regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading analytic teams and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Experience with QuickBase or similar platforms preferred.
  • Behavioral health, Medicaid managed care, or healthcare claims experience strongly preferred.
  • The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in R and SQL.
  • Expertise with BI tools and modern data visualization.
  • Strong grounding in research methods, study design, and statistical modeling.
  • Understanding of behavioral health managed care, regulatory reporting, and quality measurement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex analytics into actionable insights.
