About the Role

Our Corporate Finance team is one of Australia’s leading turnaround, restructuring and insolvency practices, with a market-leading track record delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients and their key stakeholders. We work with corporates, financiers and other key stakeholders with a highly commercial mindset to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trading a business under Administration, including processing transactions, managing employees, and reporting to creditors.
• Manage the sale process of a company's business and/or assets.
• Prepare for and attend creditors meetings.
• Conduct investigations into company failures and compile reports for ASIC and creditors.
• Liaise with stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, suppliers, customers, and lenders.
• Perform financial modeling for reports, including financial due diligence and business reviews.
• Optimize working capital to release additional cash within companies.
• Assist in client business transformation strategies, including process and reporting improvements.

Requirements

• Accounting or Finance degree with accounting subjects.
• Interest in obtaining a CA qualification.
• Soft skills including empathy and respect.
• Ability to understand and recognize client needs.
• Ability to work well with colleagues.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Good lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Some work or internship experience.
• Ability to travel to client and FTI offices.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
